The size of your cookie stamp will dictate the size you will need to roll your dough balls.
Love this recipe, perfect texture and taste.
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco butter flavored baking sticks)
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 t. vanilla
- 2-1/4 c. unbleached all-purpose white flour
- 1/2 t. baking soda
- 1/2 t. cream of tarter
- white sugar (to roll dough balls in)
Instructions
In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening, powdered sugar, egg and vanilla. By hand, stir in dry ingredients and chill for several hours. Cookies press out nicely when dough is cold.
When ready to bake, roll into small balls and dip in white sugar; place on ungreased cookie sheets and press with a cookie stamp. Tip: coat with Pam spray periodically.
Bake at 375 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Cool on wire racks lined with paper towel to absorb the grease.
NOTE: You will need a Cookie Stamp.
