Turkey Gravy

Use a fat separator for the turkey broth prior to making gravy.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. turkey broth or drippings
  • 1/3 - 1/2 c. white flour
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1/4 t. dried thyme
  • 1/4 t. rubbed sage
  • 1/4 t. black pepper

Instructions

Bring broth to a boil in a medium sauce pan.

Whisk the flour, water and seasonings in a small bowl to make the thickening. Add to the broth, stirring all the time while adding.

Let it come to a boil, reduce heat, then continue stirring with a wire whisk until desired consistency. If it is too thick, add a little more water.

NOTE: You can also substitute chicken or beef broth if desired when serving chicken or beef.
