Spinach: Strawberry-Spinach Salad

Ingredients

  • 10 oz. fresh spinach, stemmed and torn
  • 1 lb. fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • walnut pieces, optional

Dressing

  • 1/2 c. canola oil
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 1/4 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 t. onion powder
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 t. dry mustard
  • 1/4 t. salt

Instructions

Place spinach in bowl. Arrange berries on top and chill well.

Combine all dressing ingredients and shake well.

When ready to serve, drizzle dressing over spinach and strawberries; toss to coat.

Add broken pieces of walnuts if desired.

NOTE: Dressing will keep in the refrigerator about 1 week.
