Smoked Gouda Grits
Nice change from potatoes or rice
You can use any cheese instead of Gouda.
Leftovers have the consistency of mashed potatoes.


Ingredients
- 2-1/2 c. chicken broth
- 1-1/2 c. milk
- sea salt, to taste (or smoked sea salt)
- white pepper, to taste
- 3/4 c. uncooked grits (regular or quick-cook)
- 3/4 c. smoked gouda cheese, shredded
- 4 Tbls. butter
Instructions
Bring broth, milk and seasonings to a boil and stir in grits.
Reduce heat and simmer according to package directions.
Add cheese and butter.
Stir until melted and the consistency is to your liking.
NOTE: Serve 4-6
