Shrimp: Marinade for Grilled Shrimp

This also makes a great marinade when using our Raclette grill

Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ c. olive oil (extra-virgin)
  • ¼ c. tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbls. red wine vinegar
  • 2 t. dried basil
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 lb. raw shrimp, peeled and deveined (I like the CenSea brand)

Instructions

In a large bowl, stir together the garlic, olive oil, tomato sauce and red wine vinegar. Season with basil and salt.

Add shrimp to the bowl and stir until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours, stirring once or twice.

Discard marinade.

Cook shrimp on preheated grill for 2-3 minutes per side or until opaque.
