Seasoned Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 1 c. canola oil
  • 1 env. powdered ranch salad dressing mix (Hidden Valley Ranch)
  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • 1/4 t. cayenne pepper (use less if you don’t like a lot of "zip")
  • 2 bags (15 oz. each) Pretzels

Instructions

Preheat oven to 200 degrees

Pour oil into a 2-cup glass measure. Add the ranch dressing mix, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Whisk until thoroughly mixed.

Pour 1 bag of pretzels into a large roaster, pour over half of the oil mixture and stir pretzels until coated well.

Bake uncovered 60-90 minutes, stirring every 20 minutes or so. Remove pan from oven and cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Repeat with 2nd bag of pretzels and remaining oil mixture.

Or you can bake them both at the same time, using two 15x10x2-inch pans, but if there aren't tall sides, when you stir they may go off the pan. Be careful! Switch pans on baking rack after 30 minutes.
