Perfect Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 4-5 (1 oz.) packets of unsweetened pre-melted chocolate (see note below)
- 2 t. vanilla
- 1 c. all-purpose unbleached white flour
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts, optional
- 1 c. chocolate chips, optional
Instructions
Thoroughly cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Blend in chocolate, vanilla and flour by hand. Mix nuts into batter.
Pour into a greased and floured 9x13” pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
NOTE: Neslte Choco Bake is no longer made. You can substitute 3 Tbls. of cocoa powder and 1 Tbls. of vegetable oil or butter to equal 1 envelope of Choco Bake.
So for this recipe substitute 1 c. cocoa powder and 1/3 c. canola or vegetable oil (or 5 tablespoons plus 1 t. of additional butter) instead of using the Nestle Choco Bake packets.
