Penne Pasta with Creamy Garlic Sauce

A simple side dish, with a simple sauce and great taste!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. pkg. penne pasta, uncooked
  • 1 Tbls. butter
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 1 Tbls. unbleached white all-purpose flour
  • 6 Tbls. chicken broth
  • 6 Tbls. milk or light cream
  • 1 t. dried parsley flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbls. grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

Cook pasta according to package directions.

While pasta is cooking, in a small saucepan, melt butter and add garlic. Cook over medium heat for 1 minute. Add flour and cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Stir in broth and milk or light cream. Cook, stirring frequently, until sauce boils and thickens.

Add parsley, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.

Toss hot pasta with sauce and serve immediately.
