Overnight Oats: Cherry Almond

These creamy overnight oats are loaded with tangy cherries and crunchy almonds, the perfect combination.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. rolled oats (not instant)
  • 4 t. chia seeds
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 t. maple syrup
  • 2-4 drops almond extract (to your liking)
  • 1-1/4 c. almond milk (regular milk is fine)
  • 1 Tbls. sliced almonds
  • 1 Tbls. dried cherries (I use from Door County)

Topping

  • 2 Tbls. sliced almonds,
  • 2 Tbls. dried cherries (I use from Door County)

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine oats, chia seeds, salt maple syrup, almond extract, milk, 1 tablespoon almonds and 1 tablespoon dried cherries.

Transfer to a jar or covered container. Refrigerate overnight.

To serve, top with additional sliced almonds and dried cherries.

NOTE: Serves 2
