Orange Bourbon Cranberry Sauce

The bourbon and orange citrus are amazing.
Perfect side dish for your Thanksgiving meal.
This makes a large batch, to make less, adjust recipe accordingly.
Ingredients
- 2 (12 oz.) packages of fresh cranberries
- 2/3 c. white sugar (decrease for less sweetness)
- 1-1/3 c. brown sugar (decrease for less sweetness)
- ¾ c. fresh squeezed orange juice (save zest)
- ¾ c. water
- 2-3 Tbls bourbon (to taste)
Instructions
Place all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and cook on med-high for 15-20 minutes or until most of the liquid has reduced, stirring constantly.
Once most of the cranberries have popped, remove from heat and let rest for at least 15 minutes.
Serve garnished with extra orange zest. Cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week (rewarm a little to serve)
NOTE: Makes 4 cups
You can easily cut this recipe in half to make 2 cups for smaller gatherings
