Oatmeal Scotches

Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1-1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbls. water
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 2 c. unbleached all-purpose white flour
  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1-1/2 c. oatmeal
  • 12 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, eggs, water and vanilla; stir until creamy.

Gradually add flour, baking powder and soda and stir by hand.

Stir in oatmeal and butterscotch chips.

Refrigerate dough for serval hours before baking.

Drop by level teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Cool on wire racks lined with paper towel to absorb the grease.
