Kielbasa and Kidney Beans
Great quick little meal
Ingredients
- 1 lb. fully cooked, Kielbasa (or Turkey Kielbasa), cut into 1/2-inch pieces and skin removed
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped sweet red pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbls. steak sauce
- 1 Tbls cider vinegar
- 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
- 15 oz. can white kidney or cannellini beans, drained
Instructions
In skillet, cook sausage for 2-3 minutes. Stir in onion and peppers. Cook and stir until sausage is lightly browned and vegetables are tender; drain.
Combine brown sugar, steak sauce, vinegar and Worcestershire sauce; stir into skillet. Add beans.
Cook and stir until heated through.
NOTE: Try turkey kielbasa for less fat. Serves 4.
