Hot'n'Hearty Vegetable Soup - Stone Soup

Cooked in a crockpot

Ingredients

  • 7 c. of water (approximately)
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes or 4 Tbls. Beef soup base
  • 1 pkg. of beef stew meat, browned and seasoned, optional
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1/4 head of cabbage (important ingredient!)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 small pkg. frozen beans
  • 1/2 small pkg. frozen corn
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic salt to taste
  • parsley flakes to taste

Instructions

Wash, peel and chop all vegetables. Put vegetables, bouillon cubes, and seasonings in crock-pot.

Add meat if desired.

Add water; stir well and cook on high for about six hours.
