Ham: with Raisin Sauce

Serve with ham

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbls. cornstarch
  • 1 t. ground mustard
  • 1-1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 2 Tbls. white vinegar
  • 2 Tbls. lemon juice
  • 1/4 t. grated lemon peel
  • 2 Tbls. butter
  • 4-6 lb. ham

Instructions

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch and mustard. Stir in water, raisins, vinegar, lemon juice and lemon peel until blended. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in butter until melted.

Serve warm over sliced ham.

For Ham: Place a 4-6 lb. ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.

Sprinkle about 1/3 cup brown sugar and half a can of white soda over it.

Cover with foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/4 to 2 hours or until meat thermometer reads 140 degrees and ham is heated through.
