Green Beans: Old Fashioned (with bacon)

Ingredients
- 6 center-cut bacon pieces
- 1-1/2 pounds fresh green beans
- 3 t. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. water
Instructions
In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp-tender (about 5 minutes). Place cooked bacon on paper towel, dry off grease and break up into small pieces.
Drain grease from pan and add brown sugar and water; stir to dissolve and bring to a boil.
Add beans and stir gently. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until beans are crisp-tender.
Remove to a serving bowl with a slotted spoon.
Stir in bacon, season with salt, pepper and little butter before serving.
