Rub: Sweet Dry Rub for Pork or Chicken

Perfect combination of flavors.

Ingredients
- ¼ c. dark brown sugar
- 1 Tbls. coarse sea salt
- 2 t. black pepper
- 2 t. paprika (or smoked paprika)
- 2 t. garlic powder
- 2 t. onion powder
- 1 t. dry mustard
- 1/2 t. cayenne pepper, optional
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together.
Press dry rub onto pork or chicken, coating all sides.
Place on a platter, cover with saran wrap and refrigerate for several hours or all day before cooking.
Grill or bake accordingly.
NOTE: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
For an extra “kick” use smoked paprika instead of regular and 1/2 t. cayenne pepper.
