Double Chocolate Torte
Elegant and wonderful
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Fudge brownie mix (for 9x13” pan)
- 1 c. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1/2 c. butter, softened (no substitutes)
- 2 c. whipped cream topping
- 1 t. chocolate sprinkles, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare brownie mix according to package directions for fudge-like brownies.
Spread batter into a greased and floured 9-inch round baking pan or you can use a 9-inch spring form pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes (or follow package directions); until the center springs back when lightly touched.
Cool for 10 minutes. Invert onto a serving plate; cool completely.
In a bowl, stir melted chocolate and butter until smooth. Spread over the brownie layer; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Just before serving, top with whipped cream spreading from the center out, leaving about1-1/2 inches from edge without topping.
Decorate with sprinkles on top of the whipped cream.
