Dirt Cake
A family favorite
Ingredients
- 1 to 1-1/2 pkgs. Oreo cookies (crush in a food processor)
- 8 oz. pkg. low fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 pkgs. (3.4 oz.) instant vanilla pudding
- 3-1/2 c. cold milk
- 8 oz. container of Truwhip (a healthier version of Cool Whip)
- gummy worms
- silk flowers, optional
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until smooth and set aside.
Blend vanilla pudding and milk in blender. Add to cream cheese mixture and fold in Truwhip.
In a clay pot, plastic flowerpot or large deep glass bowl, alternate layers of cookie crumbs and pudding mixture; ending with crumbs. Chill several hours.
Decorate with silk flowers and gummy worms between layers. Can also use clear plastic glasses for small children and just have the worms sticking out.
