Chicken Cordon Bleu 1

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (8 oz. each)
  • 4 thin slices deli Virginia baked ham
  • 4 slices Swiss lace cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes or croutons
  • 1/4 t. garlic powder
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper

Instructions

Flatten chicken to 1/4-inch thickness. Top each with a slice of ham and cheese. Roll up and tuck in ends, secure with toothpicks.

In a small bowl, whisk eggs and milk. In another bowl, combine cornflakes and seasonings. Dip chicken in egg mixture, and then roll in crumbs.

Place on a greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until chicken juices run clear. Discard toothpicks before serving.
