Cherry Pie

Ingredients

  • Two prepared 9-inch crusts, unbaked (for top and bottom crust) (I use Pillsbury ready made crust - red box)
  • 6 c. pitted unsweetened cherries
  • 1/2 c. unbleached all-purpose white flour
  • 4 drops of almond extract
  • 1-1/3 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 t. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbls. butter

Instructions

If using a ready-made crust, unroll 1 pie crust and roll out a bit to fit your pie plate. Place in pie plate.

Mix all filling ingredients and let stand for about 30 minutes; pour into pie crust and dot with butter.

Cover top with second crust (unroll and roll out a bit to fit) and seal edges.

Bake at 400 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
