Carrots: Sweet

Ingredients

  • 2 c. (1 lb.) baby carrots or sliced carrots
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbls. butter
  • 1 t. sugar
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • coarse ground pepper, before serving

Instructions

Melt butter in medium fry pan, stir in water, sugar and salt; add carrots and stir to coat.

Simmer covered until carrots are tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Uncover, stir over high heat until carrots are glazed (1-2 minutes) and add a little fresh pepper before serving.

NOTE: Serves 4
