Applesauce
So easy made in a slow cooker!
In Fall, peel and slice apples, then freeze in food saver bags.
To have fresh applesauce all year, just add frozen apples to crockpot to cook (done in 4 hours).


Ingredients
- 10-15 “cooking” apples (macintosh, cortland’s or golden delicious)
- 1/4 c. water if using fresh apples (see note below)
- 1/2 - 1 t. cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
Peel and cut apples into wedges or large chunks. We use an apple, corer, slicer ... works slick.
Cook for about 4 hours on high or about 6 hours on low in a crock-pot until apples are soft. Stir every so often.
Use a wire whisk or masher to stir until smooth. Refrigerate and enjoy.
NOTE: If using frozen apples, no need to add water.
